At a time when we spend most of our time on the terrace with our friends or around a swimming pool, our days are most often divided between idleness and cocktails. But this year, say goodbye to the traditional Spritz, mojitos, or other classic cocktails, and play the card of originality. You will then have the choice this year between playing budding mixologists with a frosty recipe or, for the laziest, adopting the hard seltzers which, we assure you, will arouse the curiosity of your friends. Here are our 5 favorite drinks and cocktails (with and without alcohol)of summer 2021 to make the most of these moments of sunshine.
Hard seltzers, the new trend
This is the new trend of this summer: hard seltzers. Arrived in France just a year ago, this drink from the United States consists of sparkling water that is low in alcohol and rich in original flavors. A drink popular with young people for its low alcohol content and low calories, hard seltzers are beginning to develop in France with the Fefe brand, which offers various flavors. Perfect for those looking for new sensations.

A frosted cocktail at Cointreau
Take advantage of your holidays to play mixologists thanks to the different original recipes offered by Cointreau. And this summer, revisit the Margarita in its frosted form, quite simply, at home. It consists of a fresh cocktail with explosive flavors. But its strong point is obviously Cointreau, this orange liqueur that smoothes the tangy tips of the lemon, thus offering your cocktail a typical flavor: that of the classic Margarita.
Ingredients and recipe of the Frosted Margarita:
- 3cl of Cointreau
- 6cl of Tequila Blanco
- 3cl of fresh lime juice
- 1cl sugar syrup
- 7 ice cubes
Make a rhyme of salt on the edges of a Margarita glass. Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix. Serve it in a glass and decorate it with a lime washer.© Provided by GQ
A refreshing mocktail
Because cocktail doesn’t necessarily mean alcohol, mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails) are the best way to combine taste pleasure and the absence of a hangover the next day. So this summer, we propose you revisit the famous Spritz in “soft” version for a cool, light, and especially sunny summer.
Sunset Spritz ingredient:
- 50 ml of Martini without alcohol
- 25 ml of pineapple juice
- 10 ml of fresh lemon juice
- a pinch of salt
- Premium Tonic

IPA, the beer of the summer
As you know, the current trend is towards craft beers and more specifically so-called IPA (Indian Pale Ale) beers. Rich in hops, they offer a particularly bitter taste but are more aromatic than traditional beers and this, with a higher than average alcohol content. It is in these features that the Punk IPA beer from brewhouse Brewdog is presented. There is a clear and orange color and on the nose, tropical fruity and peach aromas. To share with friends around a pool or a table while preparing the barbecue.© Provided by GQ
A sunny digestive: Limoncello
When we think of limoncello, we immediately think of Italy, the sun that hits, and the song of cicadas. Often consumed as a digestive, this drink draws its richness from the lemon that was nicknamed during antiquity the “golden apple”. Easy to produce, it is composed of sugar, water, lemon zest, and alcohol. After having made this mixture and respected a fermentation time, we find a unique taste that will hydrate you during the strong heat.
