7. Vegetarian Chicken-Fried Portobello Mushroom Steaks
Vegetarians, take note! You no longer have to miss out on a traditional blue-plate special. We use the same breading for our mushroom version that then use for our chicken-fried steak (it works wonderfully), and we fry it till brown and crispy. Use a lot of our flavorful vegetable gravy (you can make it ahead and freeze it for up to a month).
