Obsessed with chocolate, you can not imagine your life without bread and pasta. In fact, some food cravings could signal that your health isn’t all right.
Many food addictions are a direct result of restrictions. After all, the forbidden fruit is sweet. That is why, according to nutritionists, you can not completely exclude any products from your diet.
“If your body believes that you can eat any product whenever you want, the feeling of lack disappears, and with it the desire to eat it,” says nutrition consultant Alyssa Ramsey.
Often, the craving for food is due to external factors. Agree, it is difficult to resist not breaking off the crust of freshly baked bread, when the aroma of baking hovers around.

Prediabetes. Constant addiction to sweets can be a symptom of the first stage of diabetes. But don’t be alarmed ahead of time. As a rule, with prediabetes, cravings for sweets are accompanied by frequent urination.
Chromium deficiency. This element enhances the action of insulin, facilitating the absorption of glucose from the blood into the cells of the body. You want sweets. Foods rich in carbohydrates are broken down into sugars in our bloodstream. Maybe when you’re drawn to flour, you just want something sweet but try to find a healthier alternative.
You’re tired. In other words, you again lack the energy that carbohydrates can replenish.

Dehydration. Thirst is often disguised as hunger. And salt helps the body retain water. So, if you pull on salty, you may not drink enough or lose water quickly, for example, due to increased sweating, vomiting, or diarrhea. Try to drink one or two glasses of water, and perhaps the craving for salty will pass.
Sodium deficiency. Addiction to salty food may indicate that the body lacks sodium, which is important for the normal functioning of the heart.
