Lady Di’s niece did not disappoint and for her link in Rome on July 24 with millionaire Michael Lewis, she wore a design by Dolce & Gabbana. In honor of the truth, we must remember that there were nothing more or nothing less than five bridal looks (all from the Italian house) that she wore in the celebrations, but we were left with the one she chose to kick off the wedding. White lace, with the neck raised, the shoulders bulging, tight silhouette on the body, very wide skirt and tulle cancan, her suit created by a couple of designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will go down in the history of brides as one of the most romantic and leaves us a message in code: the return of princess dresses.

As usual, the bride’s dress was the center of attention. Devised by Navascues, a benchmark in the bridal sector of the capital, it is surprised by its unique details. Of empire silhouette, it was made of natural silk georgette with a double skirt and satin petticoat, neckline in peak, semi-transparent bulging sleeves, and the most special, a long and sophisticated tail made of plummeting tulle with flowers embroidered to contrast. Conclusion? Brides in 2022 will say yes to romantic details.

At the end of July, the bulk of top influencers in our country traveled to Pontevedra to attend the wedding between Lucía Bárcena and Marco Juncadella, son of Princess Cristina de Hohenlohe. The bride did not disappoint and, between a sober and Victorian style with winks to the great divas of old Hollywood, we fell in love with her Jorge Acuña dress. Made of a fluid fabric, the upper part of the suit attracted special attention: high collar adorned with a rhinestone bow, bombacho body with drapery, and long sleeves with mini-barrels lined. A simple creation that made the bride shine.

Back in our country, there were many familiar faces who gathered in September at the doors of the church of the Holy Spirit in Madrid to see Lucía Martín Alcalde and Santiago Benjumea, two guys from the Madrid jet set. She, sister of the bridal designer Inés Martín Alcalde and creator of her suit, embroidered a sublime staging with a wedding dress decorated with embroidery. Made from different layers of bambula in organza and satin, and designed to enhance its silhouette thanks to the sash effect cut that incorporates the waist, in addition to the trimmings, it adds very light semi-transparent sleeves.
